Our Recipe for the Sweetest Afternoon In Paris

I shared this over on the Tea Collection blog, but thought it might be useful here too!

Sometimes you just need to get dressed up and have a fancy afternoon. This is our recipe for the sweetest afternoon in Paris, which happens to work even if it is chilly outside! Whether you are celebrating a special occasion or just looking for a fun activity, this fancy Parisian afternoon in the chic neighborhood Saint-Germain-des-Près will be a hit for all ages.

Start by heading to the Saint-Germain-des-Près neighborhood, right in the center of Paris. This is one of Paris' oldest neighborhoods, and it is chock full of history, charming cafés and gorgeous architecture.

First up - sit down for a winter treat at the iconic Café de Flore. People watching is a national sport in France – try to get a terrace seat so you can watch the chic Parisians and pups strolling by. The hot chocolate *with* a side of ‘chantilly,’ or whipped cream, is a sure bet with kids – they love scooping the cream into the perfect hot chocolate. This spot is just fancy enough to feel special, while still being kid-friendly.

Next, walk over to the Luxembourg Gardens, the classic park that is a must for any Paris vacation. Be sure to hit the gorgeous Medici fountain, sit in the iconic green metal chairs, and admire the landscaping. If you are lucky, the ponies will be out!

End at Ladurée for another sweet treat – macaroons! The shop is so pretty and kids will for sure love choosing their favorite flavor!
